The Holiday Outfit Scramble

Updated: 2 days ago

I’m going to start this with: sorry for posting this so late 😅Christmas absolutely snuck up on us this year… am I right?

And now some of us are sitting here with trunks full of gifts, baked cookies on the counter, plans in the calendar… and nothing to wear.

Let me tell you, Christmas this year does not have to be hard. I’ve got some easy outfit inspo that’ll help you pull pieces you already own from your closet. Whether it’s a casual party with friends, a more conservative dinner with the in-laws, or a “I just wanna be cute today” kind of get-together, I’ve got you.

Most of these pieces are from H&M (my forever favourite), but the idea is what matters. You probably already have versions of these at home.

Outfit One: Casual With Friends

Wide-leg, high-rise jeans are still very much in. If you can, ditch the skinny jeans or tights and pull on a pair of ultra high-rise wide leg jeans instead.

I paired mine with a bubble tank that has a satin-y feel and a little velvet bow, simple, but elevated. Add a bow in your hair, maybe a red lip, and I finished it off with red velvet bow heels from H&M for a pop of colour. Easy, comfy, and festive without trying too hard.

Outfit Two: Conservative In-Law Dinner

A little black dress with some structure is always a win. I love this H&M black mini with the poofy shape, shoulder pads, and subtle hip padding. It gives shape without feeling fussy.

Pair it with Sheertex black tights and either a sparkly heel or those red velvet bow heels again. I’d wear boots to arrive and then change into the heels inside so it’s clear these are indoor shoes (we all know that matters 😂).

Outfit Three: Comfy but Still Put Together

Remember those slip skirts we all bought because they were so comfy in the fall? Time to bring them back.

Pair one with a cozy knit sweater and add a little heel. It’s effortless, comfortable, and still looks like you planned your outfit, even if you didn’t.

Outfit Four: “I Wanna Be Cute” Energy

Look for a poofy dress like this and layer it with a cute cardigan and heels. Extra points if you tend to bloat when eating other people’s cooking, this is very bloat-friendly and forgiving while still being flattering.

Comfort + cute = the dream.

Hope this helps take one thing off your already full plate 🤍Merry Christmas!
