Today's Episode: Crafting a Beautiful Instagram Feed

Today, we're diving into an essential aspect of Instagram: crafting a stunning feed. But first, let me address a crucial question: Is having a visually appealing feed still important? Absolutely! Your feed evokes emotions and can be the difference between someone clicking away or staying.

Common Mistakes:

Let's tackle some common mistakes that people make when it comes to their Instagram feeds:

- Overloading images with text.

- Using the wrong dimensions, leading to cut-off images or text.

- Resorting to image theft or low-quality visuals.

- Neglecting thoughtful design.

Creating a Cohesive Look:

So, here's what you should be doing instead:

1. Consistency is key. Choose 4-5 brand colors before creating content. This cohesion boosts brand recognition. When you consistently use the same colors, your posts look like they belong together.

PRO TIP: You can save your colour codes easily in my favorite graphic design app CANVA.

2. Similar to colors, stick with 1-2 fonts that go well together and are easy to read.

3. Quality matters. Use basic stock images or have a friend or photographer take and edit photos in the same style. This ensures a polished and put-together look.

PRO TIP: Consider hiring a brand photographer for consistent, cohesive imagery.

4. Embrace clean space; it's easy on the eyes and keeps your feed clean and messages clear.

5. Avoid excessive text on images; keep most of it in the caption. Consider a call to action on the image directing followers to read more in the caption.

6. Pay attention to text size; it should be readable without being too small or cut off.
